Elongated Pennies/Squished Pennies

In some of the places I described, I mention Squished Pennies, you know those flattened penny machines. Well, here is a link that lists all of the squished penny machines in Missouri. We collect these when we can. It is a great souvenir that doesn't cost much, and doesn't take much space. You can even buy Penny Passports to put your pennies in. It is a great keepsake of your travels!

Photos and Postcards:

Of course, photos and post cards are the least expensive way to go, and they take up very little space on your travels. You could even write on the post cards and mail them to yourself. This way you have a journal of your travels on picture post cards of the places you visited. 

Brochures/tickets/handouts:

Keep these! Use these to make scrapbooks for kids.

Shop Local:

Find souvenirs that support local artisans, crafters, writers, etc.
