Lone Elk Park

Bison, Elk, Deer, turkey, are just a few of the wild animals you will see at Lone Elk Park. This is a perfect Sunday Drive that you can do any day of the week. Some Sundays it is packed and you will be part of a trail of cars driving through the park at 5 miles per hour. If you can enjoy it during the week, that would be best.

 
Castlewood State Park FREE
A lot of variety in topography, flat fields, hills to hike up, river view, creeks to wade through safely, and a white, soft, sandy beach to enjoy along the Meramec. However, have children wear coast guard approved life vests, drownings have occurred at this location. Adults should, too.

A great display showcasing the history of Route 66.
