Ste. Genevieve is just a great small town to visit. You could definitely spend the day visiting all of the historic homes and buildings. Guibourd-Valle House, Felix-Valle House, Museum of Learning,
Historic St. Charles - Mainstreet
A site you may want to use for more information about Historic St. Charles.
Our family spends a lot of time in historic St. Charles. We love Lewis and Clark Boathouse, Old State Capitol, and we like to visit the Art Foundary. Frontier Park is a great park and it has a great view of the Missouri River!
Historic Florissant
My children and I visited the Gittemeier Home and the Narrow Gauge RailRoad Station (which is now a Penny Candy store!). Both are nice, short visits. Combine them with seeing the St. Ferdinand Shrine (which we did) and the other historic homes. It would be a great day! Some homes, however, are only available for Sunday tours.
Kimmswick
A great small, small town you can visit in a day, easily. A lot of history, shops, and a few places to eat -- The Blue Owl, to name one!
Cherokee Street
Unique business district in St. Louis City
