Jewel Box
Jewel Box is a wonderful "greenhouse" to visit. While the Missouri Botanical Gardens tends to steal the "plant show" in St. Louis, the Jewel Box is definitely worth the visit. And, at $1 per person (free on Monday and Tuesdays from 9am-12 noon), it could be a viable alternative to a slightly more expensive Missouri Botanical Gardens.

Tower Grove Park
When I visited, this park had a wading pool, and many nice structures to discover.
Confluence Point
Beautiful park, great for bird watching, where the Mississippi and the Missouri meet!
Audubon at the Riverlands
This is a wonderful resource to visit. Full of information about the native birds!
