Special Focus: Craft Alliance in University City

Our son and I visited the Craft Alliance in Univeristy City. Wow! What a neat place! Jewelry, art work and other art treasures were on display and for sale. It is a very clean place with items displayed in a well-lit environment.  This would be a place for children of upper elementary age and older, however! It is free to walk in and look. But, I am sure they would LOVE it if you purchased something! :)

Here are some pictures we took.

Special Focus: Myseum!

A new science museum of sorts is in St. Louis. It's Myseum. This is a great place for kids to explore, climb, touch and experiment.  A place for parties, field trips and day excursions, Myseum offers a variety of ways to experience its resources.  After talking to a few moms, this place seems best for younger kids. While some things will keep the attention of older children for awhile, the younger children seemed to be engaged longer.  Check it out at your earliest Myseum convenience!

Special Focus: Go! St. Louis - Go! St. Louis! Go! Go RUN!

St. Louis is the host to many runs and Marathons! Go! St. Louis has runs/races/marathons for all ages.  Students across the area participate in reading, helping by doing the right things, and running for exercise. The end activity is participating in the Read!Right!Run! Race for kids at Forest Park in April.  Check out the links and see if you can bring this program to your child's school!

Special Focus: Civil War Museum at Jefferson Barracks!

There is a  new museum in town and it is the Civil War Museum at Jefferson Barracks! I hear that it is worth the trip!  $7 for adults, $5 for kids! I can't wait to take our children!

Special Focus: Vacuum Museum in St. James

Yes, The Vacuum Museum in St. James is quite a stop!  I know, I know, you think I have flipped my lid.  But this is a place to see. First, this is an American Made vacuum factory.  Visitors learn about the history of vacuums.  Plus, the museum is set up by decades so there are other pieces of furniture and household items from the last 150 years.  It is worth seeing, and it is FREE!

Come on, you know you want to go!
