Special Focus: Old Cahokia Courthouse



Old Cahokia Courthouse, in Cahokia, Illinois, was an amazing find!  It was built around 1740 as a home originally.  In 1904 this building was dismantled and on display at the World's Fair in St. Louis. Then Chicago ended up with it!  In 1964, Cahokia wanted their old courthouse back and they got it!  This site is open to the public and has a visitor's center on the site. This area is full of history.  Here are pictures of other noted events in history:
